#1: E-Commerce portal

When you are redesigning a user journey which is accessed by millions of users on a daily basis, the complexities and stakes go beyond your imagination. That’s what we experienced when we entered the waters of world’s largest ecommerce site and redesigned the Help & Support section.

The stakeholders gave us a one word direction – “reduce the customer helpdesk calls”, which was an overhead cost to the business. We sat with the stakeholders, brainstormed and generated 5 different concepts, prototyped and tested concepts with the users and ultimately launched one which reduced the helpdesk calls by 25%. Yes, that’s a significant change – considering that you don’t force the users not to call the helpdesk & at the same time ensuring no fall in user traffic to the website.

#2: Enterprise application

Enterprise applications tend to be boring. Employees hate to use it – it’s not aligned to their needs, the application don’t appeal to them, its forced upon them and some are clueless what they will do with it. Notwithstanding all the prejudices enterprise applications suffer from, we worked with a startup enterprise bookmarking application company and redesigned their flagship application.

Employees lapped up the redesigned application – it was like “Delicious” tailor made for them. It became the de-facto information repository of employees. What more, employees realized the incentives of using the bookmarking enterprise application – knowing more without breaking the sweat.

#3: Andriod application

We love to travel and are devout of Travel & Living Channel (TLC). Whenever one travels, one makes sure to have a handy travel book to refer on the move. It’s like carrying the copy of Lonely Planet magazine with you which gives you latest and real-time information.

We designed this Android application for London based tourists, to discover the amazing places in the city. Be it the crowded Trafalgar square or the amazing British Museum, the fascinating Tate Modern Gallery or the mysterious Camden Town. The visitor will have all the information (places to visit, how to go, timings, tickets, etc) on the mobile.

Having visited London and roamed around, our own experiences (in addition to user insights) helped us to design this mobile application.
