First and foremost, Big Umbrella Design Studios is a service design company. We help our customers to conceptualize, design, brand and package the services needed by their businesses. We have no qualms of the domain the project will take us to, the tools we need to learn, language we need to be familiar and of course the environment we need to weather.

We say, we follow the beaten-to-death design processes (like other design studios), yet retain the essence of our uniqueness of design and delivery. Here is what we offer to our customers:

2) Research (That goes beyond spying :D).
What services the consumers prefer in north-western states of the country? Why my product / service is being ignored by SEC-A customers? I want to know the user voices on the newly launched ‘mediamall’ portal. I want to know what is must-have, good-to-have features in my services. Questions and concerns of these sorts are answered by designing the competitive matrix which will give you a deep understanding of consumer trends, likes-dislikes, aspirations, immediate and latent needs. From the insights you can create a tweaked or redesigned service which will benefit your consumer and of course, benefit your business.

3) Information visualization (Are we all on the same page?)
When the requirements phase kicks in and all parties go in talk-talk mode, we come out with information graphics that clearly visualizes and articulates what needs to done. We are ardent doodlers, sketchers and hence we like to express in visuals. We present our minutes in visual format, you will love it. Information visualization is a big poster or a web graphic which depicts the overall ecosystem, the users, the stakeholders, the business processes, the business needs, the gains, the pitfalls, the competition, etc - an information which will set the tone for conceptualization activity.

4) Storytelling (How users will use my service?)
How would a teenager use my telecommunication service? Will an illiterate user have handicaps in using my product? Where and how a college professor will access the latest question posted by his students? All these personas and scenarios have special values which tell product and service usage which is depicted through storyboards, short movies, commercials.
